Environmental Vibrations
Co-created between cellist Tara Rajah and dancer Kira Radosevic “Environmental Vibrations” is an improvisational, community engaged performance work that relates the idea of home and the global movement of peoples to the migration of birds. The musical improvisation takes as its point of departure the Malaysian (Malacca Portuguese) folk tune Jinkli Nona. The work was composed and performed by Tara Rajah.
Accompanied by a family friendly visual art workshop titled Send a Postcard Home! based on a watercolour process developed by Cherry Lu and Robin Lough - the performance and workshop was presented as a part of a larger community engaged event by Foolish Operations titled Moving, Resting, Nesting.
